Climbing rope makes a great 6-foot slip lead for those collarless times. This lead has a large loop at the top through which you can slip your hand and easily grasp the leather covering the upper splice. The portion that slips over your dog's head (in P orientation) has a wide ring for adjustment and an adjustable stop. These leads are available in solid blue and patterned orange.
